Multi level composite deck in Wake Forest
This deck features the Trex Brazilia collection composite decking & rail system.
A 10 x 10 cement slab patio is transformed into a beautiful additional living space. Split level to allow for the addition of a Hot Tub on the lower level, with Grilling and seating space under the shade arbor on upper level. The reduced maintenance of the composite material will give many years of worry free enjoyment. Mixing the two colors available in both the deck surface and railing gives a rich look.
Basement Bar in Hope Valley, Durham
Hi Norm - Welcome to Cheers! An unused basement is turned into a party area complete with big screen T.V. (64") and commercial style bar. The entertainment area is adjacent to the focal point of the room which is the corner bar. The bar features recessed panel face with under counter concealed rope lighting, brass foot rail, authentic bar top "elbow rail", glass rail on back side of counter, and a fully functional beer tap. Did I mention the walk in, climate controlled wine cellar? "If you need me, I'll be downstairs"
Crestmark Homes
A new builder for us is Crestmark Homes. Crestmark builds custom homes in the Wake Forest area. Home sizes are in the 3000 to 4000 sq. ft. range. One of the focal points of a Crestmark Home is the fireplace wall. All have windows on each side of the fireplace that are incorporated into the trim of the mantle. The size varies, but the effect stays the same.
HIS Radio WRTP
A recent move from Durham to Raleigh presented the need for a new control room console. Working with Mark Parker, General Manager of HIS Radio WRTP, we developed a plan for the furniture. Since there was a need to coordinate the building of the console with both the engineer and onsite contractor, and because existing equipment as well as new would be housed in this studio, we had many details to iron out. Numerous trips to Durham for consultation would have been too time consuming, so taking Mark's conceptual drawing, and using computer design software, we were able to present in 3D animation a model of the studio's console so that everyone involved could see the project from all angles. This provided the ability to see hidden design aspects which might cause problems for equipment placement or wiring and we were able to make revisions before construction began. With one trip to Durham for initial consultation, everything else was done via e-mail using this animation. It proved to be a very exciting and rewarding project of much greater proportions than any of us originally envisioned.
